Russian warplanes resumed shelling Idlib city and its environs after the shelling has stopped for 22 days, while Damascus is witnessing fierce clashes between the forces of the regime and IS mercenaries.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Russian-Turkish truce zones in Idlib, Latakia, Aleppo and Hama have been witnessing the cautious calmness with the completion of the fourth day of September for the third consecutive week of its entry into force.

The four governorates have remained calm since Monday midnight until Tuesday morning, with the exception of an artillery shelling operation that targeted areas in al-Latamna town and its surrounding areas.

The Observatory later reported that Russian warplanes resumed air strikes on Idlib which is under the control of the Turkish mercenary gangs after they have stopped for 22 days.

Russia and Iran are seeking to launch the battle of Idlib before the trilateral summit between the presidents of Russia, Turkey and Iran on September 7, while Turkey seeks to resolve Jabhet al-Nusra before the summit.

Damascus’ desert that is located at the administrative border with al-Suweida desert is witnessing the continuation of military operations of the regime forces at the expense of IS mercenaries as clashes continue between the parties on the axes in the area of ​​Tellul al-Safa, amid continuous shelling by the regime forces on places in the area.
