Turkey continues to trade with Israel despite the genocide in Gaza.
“As the bill of lading below reveals, the seller is Eti Maden, a company 100% owned by the Türkiye Wealth Fund (TVF), a $33 billion sovereign fund which was placed under Turkish President Erdogan’s control in 2016, of which he remains chairman of the board.
The buyer is Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd., a large Israeli company that produces various chemicals and also serves the Israeli army. The shipment is for powdered boric acid, 21 tons in total.
While Boric Acid is commonly used for the treatment of wounds, enriched Boric Acid is a neutron absorber used to help control the reaction in nuclear power plants. And Boron is a key material used in bulletproof vests, bulletproof armor, helicopter skins and aircraft as well as an anti-corrosive in weaponry.
The goods were loaded in Gemlik Port on March 23, 2024, arrived in Israel’s Ashdod port on March 29, and then delivered to Haifa port on 1 April.
Erdogan is selling death chemicals to Israel.
